The confidentiality of your personal data is one of the main concerns of SC Diane Marie Studio SRL, based in Bucharest, Str. Lacul Plopului no 10, as a data operator.

Who we are?

SC Diane Marie Studio Srl, hereinafter referred to as Diane Marie, "we" is a company from Romania, with its registered office in Bucharest, Str. Lacul Plopului no 10, sector 5, registered at the Trade Register under number J40/10442/2011, tax code RO29048600, email office@dianemarie.ro

Dianemarie.ro is an online store. In order to be able to fulfill this goal, we get in touch with our visitors who wish, on their own initiative, to place orders. Later, we process the data in order to deliver the orders registered on the website. We also carry out marketing / promotion campaigns to attract buyers for various products and other personal data processing operations that we explain below.

The document below is therefore very important, because it explains why we need certain personal data to be able to provide certain services. Please read it carefully, because we have tried to explain here a series of useful principles and concepts both in the interaction with our website and in the interaction with the online environment in general.

We will tell you below, as transparently as possible, concepts and ideas, as well as what rights you have in relation to the personal data we process, or what actions you can take to better understand and control the volume of personal data that you is processed online.

What is personal data?

According to the GDPR, "personal data" means any information regarding an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"). An identifiable natural person is a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification element such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more specific elements, specific to his physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.

There is no list of personal data, and the GDPR does not require states to create such a list, for the simple reason that a date can become personal data in a certain context, and in another context simply be a valueless information of a personal nature.

Here are some examples of personal data:

  • the name;
  • one's domicile or residence;
  • an e-mail address (including addresses of the type andrei.popescu@firma.ro);
  • bulletin number, passport or identity card;
  • location data (for example, the location data feature available on a mobile phone)
  • IP address;
  • an ID cookie;
  • someone's silhouette from CCTV footage;
  • a car registration number;

The definition of personal data also contains several important elements:

  1. Personal data refers to information on natural persons, not legal entities. The distinction is important because, for example, the registration number from the Trade Register, the fiscal code or other identification elements of some companies are not personal data.
  2. It does not matter if the processing of these personal data is done through an automatic system or through a non-automated system (eg manual processing), if it is part of a structured data record system. The only important thing is that we are talking about a processing of this type of data.

The information we collect

Dianemarie.ro collects personal data in two important ways:

  1. Information provided directly by you, through dianemarie.ro forms (for example, as a result of registering as a member of the dianemarie.ro community, as a result of requesting a Dianemarie.ro service, as a result of orders placed on the site or as a result of subscribing to Dianemarie.ro newsletters).
  2. Information we obtain when you use our services (for example, we process the history of your interactions with our newsletters in order to be able to understand and limit the newsletters to those that interest you, the history of your orders, etc.).

Dianemarie.ro uses forms through which you can create an account, order, comment on products or register for Dianemarie.ro informative newsletters. These forms include fields such as name, e-mail address, mobile phone number, access password, details regarding the delivery address of some products, billing details, etc.

We use this data to allow you access to the site and to be able to deliver the products and services you have chosen to receive (the ordered product, newsletters, etc.). The legal basis for this processing is the entry and execution of a contract to which you are a party (whenever you perform the above operations, you agree with the terms and conditions of the provision of those services) or your consent, if we are talking about carrying out commercial communications to you, without talking about similar products and services that you have already purchased from us, where we are entitled to send you commercial communications (but we will continue, permanently, to offer you the possibility to unsubscribe from that kind of communication).

It may sometimes be necessary to also request additional tax information, if we are required by law to file tax returns in relation to the products and services ordered by you. In that case, we will refer to your address (necessary to be entered on the tax invoice), but also other tax data that the law obliges us to collect and process in connection with the transaction in question. In this situation, the legal basis for processing will be represented by the obligation to comply with the provisions of the legislation.

We do not use your data to send marketing communications unless you explicitly opt for such communication. Even in such cases, we assure you that you have an easy-to-use option to unsubscribe (withdraw consent) at any time, either in the communication itself, or by contacting us by email or phone.

Dianemarie.ro also offers the possibility to send us a message. Use of the Dianemarie.ro website

Dianemarie.ro automatically collects certain information, which it stores in its traffic reports. The information we are talking about may include the IP of the device from which you visit us, the region or general location from where you access the site, as well as the type of browser, operating system or device from which you access us. In addition, it also collects a history of the pages you access.

We use this information based on our legitimate interest to observe how well the pages of the site correspond to the display needs of your particular device, to diagnose any problems that our servers have when delivering pages to certain types of devices, to analyze trends, observe how users can better navigate our pages. We also collect statistical demographic information that helps us identify visitor preferences. Dianemarie.ro also uses cookies, which you can read about in the section below.

Cookies and other similar technologies

The first websites ever launched had no memory. Thus, it was not possible to authenticate visitors or use a shopping basket, in the case of online stores or other mechanisms that help the user and the site to recognize each other on other visits.

Cookies were invented precisely to fix this problem. They are small text files, placed on a visitor's terminal, which play the role of site memory. Whenever the person in question accesses a certain website, he can write or read in the cookie he placed on the terminal all kinds of information that the visitor has already sent to the website, directly or indirectly. Later, other technologies aimed at the same type of purpose were developed from here. We have tried to describe each such technology below.

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile devices when you access websites. "Direct" cookies are set by the domains you are visiting at that moment (eg Dianemarie.ro). "Third" cookies are set by domains other than those of the sites you visit (eg domains other than Dianemarie.ro).

Web beacons are transparent pixel images that are used to collect information about website usage. As in the case of cookies, the technology that allows local storage allows websites to store information on a terminal (computer, mobile phone, etc.). This technology allows persistent storage, as a rule, and, unlike cookies, the data stored there are not transferred to the Internet whenever the website is visited by a certain visitor. Dianemarie.ro does not use such technologies.

The mobile advertising code is a unique identifier (ID) set by your mobile device's operating system. This ID helps the applications you install on the device and which may contain advertisements to recognize you. Most devices allow apps to access the mobile advertising ID by default. However, you can change your device settings to prevent your device from sharing this code with various apps. Check the "Help" section for operating systems to learn more about managing mobile advertising IDs. On Android, Advertising means the Android Advertising ID, on iOS devices it means the ID for Advertiser (IDFA).

Most cookies can be included in one of the categories below:

  • Strictly Necessary: these cookies are essential in providing the services requested by you. Without them, the website cannot function or deliver the services provided (authentication, shopping cart, etc.).
